One language

What a turn of events.  We’ve seen champions made in tennis, hitting balls across the net.  Then golf, hitting a tiny ball into tiny holes.  Then another sport emerges, called the blame game, where people hack each other.

Hard times, UK hacked off, trouble in the Middle East
What language are they speaking?  If it’s money, then it’s pure greed.  And if it’s power, money still changes hands somewhere, even if behind closed doors.  Look at it this way – the story goes like this: when the women was caught in adultery, it was said, let he who is without sin, cast the first stone.  But what was failed to be mentioned was the fact that you cannot commit adultery on your own.  If News International was the women caught in adultery, metaphorically speaking, who was the other party? Your guess is as good as any.

Are we all on the same planet?  The tower of Babel was about empire building, power and influence, which could only be achieved by people speaking one language.  And now what we see and hear is confusion, as Gaddafi becomes a mere side order and the Murdochs are dish of the day.  Will three little words ‘we are sorry’ heal the rift between government and free range capitalism. The News will tell.  Still, there are people starving in Africa.  Isn’t that scandalous news in the 21st century? (You can post your general comments below)

De-clutter tip
So this weekend’s de-clutter tip is what is your language?  Are you working with people that speak the same language as you?  And I don’t mean figuratively speaking.  Are you being heard, or are heads just nodding in agreement?  It is important to connect with people who are on the same level in order to build and put plans into action.  Without those connections, you struggle twice as hard to progress.  Give us a call.  We are ethical and will help you.  Think carefully about this?

With one language you achieve a common goal!

Windows of Heaven

Last week’s fragrance of sporting success for Djokovic, Wimbledon’s champion was short lived, as the media now focuses on the mother of all newspaper scandals.  The News of the World is shutting down due to phone hacking and police bribes.  How will we ever survive without our fix of ‘kiss and tell’ stories in our Sunday roundup of news is beyond thinking!

Hard times, UK SOS, trouble in the Middle East
And as the loaded gun fires in all directions, with Cameron in the cross fire for employing Andy Coulson, ex News International – who is this really aimed at?  Probably, Rupert Murdock, even if it means 100s lose their jobs.  It sounds very much like ‘I’ll fix you for setting up Vince Cable the other day, who was caught on tape saying the Murdoch empire needed to be stopped and he would see to it.  What political hogwash and espionage when the country is in S.O.S, people are starving in the world, and millions being spent trying to get Gaddafi out of Libya.  It’s time to let go of something again, to make way for new things to come into our lives. (You can post your general comments on http://moneyworkshops.blogspot.com)

De-clutter tip
So this weekend’s de-clutter tip is prepare for a window of opportunity.  Focus on your strengths and qualities.  Then write down the things that you absolutely hate.  Yes, chose one, think about what it would be like to wake up in the morning knowing that you didn’t have to do it anymore.  Hold that thought!  Don’t interrupt it with, ‘what will I do instead’.  Because when you truly let go, something amazing happens.  That door will close, and a window of opportunity will open.  It will be something you can do and give you a new focus.  Give us a call.  We’d love to help you identify the door to close.
Let the windows of heaven open over you!

Sporting chance

If you weren’t lucky last week, you could still be in with a chance to get ‘golden tickets’ to the few remaining games at the Olympics: boxing, football, weight lifting.  If these were classed as ‘golden tickets’ the other ones (athletics, swimming etc) must have been ‘double platinum deluxe’ tickets.

Hard times, no growth, trouble in the Middle East
Speaking of games – England’s Tennis champion, Andy Murray has a chance if he keeps his head.  Then, at least one of the Williams has a chance.  So, all eyes are looking out for victory.  So how do we get back into the game?  I can’t help thinking with all the cut backs there won’t be any trees left to grow anything.  People are just going through the motions, waiting to be culled. The Habitat store has just gone under.  What an icon of a shop. And RAC have sold out to Aviva insurance.  However, you’ll never see an insurance company going out of business.  And there’s a strike this Thursday 30th by public sector workers.  How can anyone grow and develop with all this going on: fear of job loss, rising prices?  It must be said, it’s time to think global market.  If the money isn’t here in the UK, then it’s got to be in China, India, possibly Africa somewhere.  Look as far east as you can for developing countries.  (You can post your general comments below)

De-clutter tip
So this weekend’s de-clutter tip is sporting chance.  Pick up your racket and get into the game.  There’s a strong chance you may win your way to victory.  Do you enjoy your job?  There must be something that would give you great joy and get your creative juices going again.  It’s in you and you were born to succeed.  Give us a call. It could be a step in the right direction
You’re in with a sporting chance!

Something's got to give

Hopeful spectators were left disappointed when they heard news that they wouldn’t be getting tickets to the 2012 Olympics.  They’re not the only ones.  Gaddafi was told he wouldn’t be coming either.  At least there’s good reason for him: he’s not welcome, plus banned from entering the EU.  He’s miles away – what about us who live on the doorstep and still can’t get tickets.  Something’s got to give.

Hard times, enough is enough, trouble in the Middle East
Are the banks really on the ropes over PPI claims?  They can’t cope with the enquiries, but now have up to 16 weeks to settle.  Free banking could be axed as the government plans to make sure banks separate the retail side from investments to save customers from dodgy dealings.  There was an advert many years ago by a high street bank which was along the lines of, your money is our money – and the customer tried to correct they by saying, my money is my money.  It’s not over yet with the banks.  Rent prices have increased as people try to save deposits to get mortgages.  Same old, same old.  Is this obsession to own our own homes, taken over our lives?  This ideology suits any government, as it means people stay in work and work longer, to keep up mortgage payments – in turn taxes are paid.  Some days you just feel like up and leaving, but the mortgage soon sobers you up.  Now public sector workers plan to strike which is heralded to be the biggest strike action ever, because their pensions are being tampered with.  Something’s got to give.  They’re not the only ones.  Greece saw rioting over anti cuts and harsh taxes.  A final tit-bit is the government are toying with the idea of selling the ‘student loan book’ to raise billions – now there’s a thought, harsh debt collectors harassing students.  And we have a generation of children that don’t read and can’t read.  (You can post your comments below)

De-clutter tip
So this weekend’s de-clutter tip is something’s got to give.  People are at breaking point trying to sustain businesses/employment in a depressed market.  Will learning gorilla marketing through social media, Google, Twitter, Facebook drive traffic to you?  The jury is still out on this.  Strangely, Facebook was used as evidence to jail a woman juror who contacted a defendant in a court case.  Apparently social media is about building community and people buy from communities don’t they?  One thing for certain is people still fish for business, but through what means – old fashion selling or building a following through social media.  Is it whoever comes up with the cleverest idea wins?  These are just ideas or idle thoughts.  Is it time to let go of something that doesn’t work for you but you don’t know how?  Give us a call.
Something’s got to give!

Networking in a Fertile Field

Who could have thought a harmless cucumber and tomato would make headline news for carrying a deadly E-coli bacteria?  It’s either man made, which comes from violating natures’ laws, or comes with the territory of mass producing everything.  Poor farmers again.  And the public.

Hard times, fertile fields, trouble in the Middle East
Have you ever thought whether your job, profession or business is safe enough to ride out the relentless global economy Tsunami?  For every job advertised (certainly in office administration, IT etc) there are at least 200-300 applicants.  Should we be switching to a recession proof profession: politics, banking, religious leader, legal, medical, education, journalism.  And of course we need to buy food, clothes and whatever is in demand.  Innovation and networking businesses will always take on a new spin in troubled times.  Don’t get me wrong, there will always be room in the world for the next invention.  However, inventions must be marketed to reach audiences.  And any business that uses network marketing to distribute its products will succeed somehow.  In the States we often hear of people having two and three jobs.  For the majority of the British public, one job is supposed to be sufficient to provide for all our needs.  But, multiple income streams albeit through employment or independent business efforts appears to be a fast growing way of making ends meet.
De-clutter tip
So this weekend’s de-clutter tip is examine how fertile your business field is.  Does the income from it barely cover your essentials?  How effective are you at marketing yourself or product.  It doesn’t matter how good the food is, if there are no buyers, there’s no sale.  And if the word selling drives shivers down your spin or the thought of talking to strangers about  yourself and your business, then you need immediate help.  This type of business activity will not go away.  It’s what makes you stand out from the crowd.  Networking: what is your perception of social media?  Are you giving a signal or making noise?  Give us a call.  We have established network marketing experts to help you supplement your income, as well as gurus on social media.  PS: there’s a course entitled, Nuts ‘n’ Bolts of Networking on Wednesday 22 June that will take you to another level.  Don’t miss out.
Never be afraid to find a new fertile field!

Rough with the Smooth

Don’t you find when guests are coming over we tend to spruce up the house, and keep up the appearance that things are going well?  With our American cousins - Obama’s visit, we did just that.  And, so did Ireland for that matter.  Ed and Justin Miliband’s wedding barely got a mention, as it paled into insignificance.  Trouble at home, in our economy?  What trouble?  All is well isn’t it?

Hard times, rough, smooth, trouble in the Middle East
NEW news, over charges on mortgage variable interest rates and Payment Protection Insurance (PPI).  What lies beneath Obama’s stately visit, the overt fascination with trouble in the Middle East, while the focus stays off the banks and the credit system.  As we speak, there are changes going unnoticed to your credit terms of conditions, that you’ll need a lawyer to fathom.  A couple of weeks back the banking groups: Lloyds, RBS, Barclays were ordered to put aside £6billion plus as payout to customers that were mis-sold PPI.  We did a test case, and will let you know the outcome shortly.  But, out of the blue we received money back for another issue which was for overcharges on the mortgage variable interest rate.  Hey! What’s going on here?  More real cash back?  However, this is a cautionary tale, because swiftly afterwards another letter arrived informing us that the interest rate on our credit card would increase by 2%.  This was without provocation ie no late, or missed payments ever or paying minimum amounts.  Of course it was challenged, and there was a happy ending.  The rate was put back to normal after a formal complaint was made. (Contact us for specific details.)

De-clutter tip
So this weekend’s de-clutter tip is be prepared to fight your corner.  Go into the ring and find out if there’s money waiting for you, albeit over charges on your mortgage interest rates or PPI.  Don’t be deterred by difficulties?  Admittedly, it can feel like sunshine and rain.  But there’s a rainbow with a pot of something waiting for you.  Lastly, there are massive changes being rolled out on your credit card conditions.  Don’t get caught out through lack of knowledge.  It will cost you.  Give us a call.  We deal with credit card and debt solutions, PPI advice, business coaching, mortgages, remortgaging, pension release advice, buy to let nightmares, business recovery, money coaching and network marketing advice.
Be prepared to take the rough with the smooth!

Chink in the Armour

Someone once said, “I’m not very good with money, but the wealth I have covers all my mistakes”. In reality with wealth comes position, responsibility and power, but how far will it stretch.

Hard times, our armour, trouble in the Middle East
The news focus highlights catching a big fish, D Strauss Kahn, ex head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), allegedly accused of hanky-panky with a chamber maid in a New York hotel.  Where as, if this were true and happened in either France or Italy, it would be played down as insignificant. Now the arena opened up the way for a new successor with our Gordon Brown, throwing his hat potentially into the ring.  But the French minister for finance, Christine Largarde takes the position as the new head of the IMF.  Let’s see whether a woman can do a better job managing the global purse.  You bet yah!  Talking of armour, household incomes have only increased by half a percent each year, while inflation (increase on food, goods, and services) has risen between 3-4%.  Jobs are being held onto by a thread, while banks are forever creating more hoops for everyone to jump through.  Now’s the time to create your own job.

Does your money protect you from the harsh reality of debt or are you realising that the armour you once relied on is crumbling? You be the judge of it. (Let us know how you feel.  Post your comments below)

De-clutter tip
So this weekend’s de-clutter tip is examine your armour.  Can it be trusted to protect you from the twists and turns of the economy?  By the way, have you checked whether you are entitled to claim cash back on your payment protection insurance? (PPI)  Don’t let the time pass you by. We are almost at the halfway mark in the year.  Have your plans come to fruition yet or are you back to the drawing board?  There’s still time to restart.  Give us a call.  We deal with business coaching, mortgages, remortgaging, pension release advice, buy to let nightmares, credit card, debt solutions, business recovery, PPI support, money coaching and network marketing advice.
An armour should be like cast iron!
